Background: Bolero is a young stallion from Ponyville. In what would otherwise be such a quiet town, he enjoys the unusual amount of character that it has. While he has a great deal of fun exploring bigger cities like Manehattan, he knows where home is.

Growing up, he was curious and energetic, which sometimes got him into trouble. His Cutie Mark came to him on the first day that he held drumsticks; one thing clicked with him, and that thing was that he had rhythm. Now he jumps at any chance to drum, taking up part-time work at a local music shop to fill some of the time between shows. During his downtime, Bolero enjoys listening to music, trying to find interesting things to do, and meeting up with friends. As such, he is fond of things like jam sessions and taking trips outside of Ponyville.
